His father, Adebayo Salami, is a veteran actor and filmmaker in the Yoruba film industry, often referred to as “Nollywood.”

Femi Adebayo started his education at the C&S College in Lagos and later attended the University of Ilorin, where he studied Law. After completing his law degree, he was called to the Nigerian Bar and became a practicing lawyer. Despite his legal career, his passion for acting eventually led him to fully embrace the world of entertainment.
